The judge of the famous TV reality show Great British Bake Off, Prue Leith receives COVID 19 vaccine. Moreover, she is one of the first many people who has received the infection vaccine in the UK. The South African-British cookbook author and chef is presently 80-years old. Therefore, she belongs to the age group that is more prone to the effects of COVID 19. 

 

The food show host and celebrity recently took to her social media profile to announce the vaccination happily. She posts a nice picture of her sitting calmly with a mask on her face while receiving the vaccination. Along with the picture, she writes a post asking how anyone can be unhappy in this situation. It means that she is indirectly stating that every individual must receive an immunity vaccine. The same is the best safety measure over everything else.

After the post by Prue Leith, many positive and encouraging comments are pouring in for her. For example, Dr. Rahul Mandal praises the food celebrity stating that she looks gorgeous on the sets and during the vaccination process. Mandal is a former winner of the Great British Bake Off. 

 

On the other hand, Prue’s colleague and fellow judge of the reality show Great British Bake Off also comments on her post. He also appreciates her decision and encourages her to live healthily. On Wednesday, December 2, the UK becomes the first country in the world to approve a COVID vaccine officially.

After the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency), it allows the provisional application of the BioNTech and Pfizer vaccines. The following week, the USA also passes approval for the application of the same vaccine

 

According to Matt Hancock’s report, approximately 800,000 doses must be available within the first week itself. Moreover, medical and nursing home staff, daycare helpers, and older adults are on the priority list to receive the vaccination. Hancock is the present Health Secretary of the USA.
